宋代蘇軾詩云：“可使食無肉，不可居無竹。”由于竹子建構(gòu)化的特性以及其資源廣泛、易于加工使用、美觀并帶有強烈的自然氣息和豐富的表現(xiàn)力等特點，竹子成為了最古老和最常使用的一種建造材料。將竹與花作為核心材料，弘揚工匠精神，激發(fā)園林學(xué)子的花園創(chuàng)作能力，提高動手能力，北京林業(yè)大學(xué)茲定于2019年9月下旬或10月中旬舉辦第二屆“北林國際花園建造節(jié)”。我們將邀請相關(guān)知名機構(gòu)共同舉辦此次花園節(jié)。我們誠摯邀請國內(nèi)外風(fēng)景園林及相關(guān)專業(yè)的高校師生共同參與到“北林國際花園建造節(jié)”的設(shè)計與建造活動中來！

Su Shi, a poet in the Song Dynasty, wrote in one of his poems: "I can have a meal without meat, but I can't live without bamboo." Because of its architectural characteristics, resource abundance, easiness of processing, aesthetic and natural appeal, and rich expressiveness, bamboo has become one of the oldest and most commonly used building materials. The 2nd BFU International Garden-making Festival will be hosted by Beijing Forestry University from the end of September to the middle of October 2019. With bamboo and flowers as major material, the Festival aims to promote a craftmanship spirit and cultivate landscape architectural students’ creativity through drawings, models and actual works, the festival will provide an opportunity to integrate material construction and artistic expression. We will invite relevant well-known organizations to co-host the Garden Festival. We sincerely invite educators and students in the field of landscape architecture and other related disciplines from around the world to participate in the design and construction activities of the 2nd BFU International Garden-making Festival.

ABOUT THE THEME

　　本屆花園建造節(jié)的主題為“花園的詩意”，鼓勵設(shè)計者在有限的花園空間內(nèi)，以原竹和花卉為主要材料，設(shè)計并建造一座小花園，設(shè)計者可充分尊重原竹自然特性和施工技藝特點，通過對原竹空間延展性特征、材料不同排列方式和密度形成的強烈韻律感特征，探索其作為結(jié)構(gòu)材料、圍護材料和裝飾材料的多種可能性，尋找最適宜的呈現(xiàn)方式，并通過結(jié)合花卉的運用表達出設(shè)計師對花園詩意內(nèi)涵的理解，詩意可以是傳統(tǒng)的詩意棲居，可以是當(dāng)代的詩意哲學(xué)，可以是有機的詩意空間組合，可以是生機勃發(fā)的詩意自然，也可以是手工的詩意體驗。建造基址在北京林業(yè)大學(xué)校園學(xué)子情廣場內(nèi)，目前中心位置有一座竹構(gòu)亭“雲(yún)在”，組委會將在此場地上設(shè)置15個建造地塊。

With "The Poetics of Gardens" as its theme, the 2nd BFU International Garden-making Festival requires each participant to design and build a small garden by mainly using natural bamboo and herbs. Designers are encouraged to explore the various possibilities of bamboo as structural materials, enclosure materials and decorative materials on the basis of the natural characteristics of bamboo and the characteristics of its construction techniques, and to find the most suitable construction representation. The strength ductility of original bamboo and the consequent elasticity of the spatial structure, the ingenious joints caused by the limitation of natural materials, the various appearances and strong rhythm formed by the different arrangement and density of the materials, the feelings of delicate, natural and warm… can be the basis for the construction design. Combined with flowers，designers express poetry by the traditional oriental poetic dwelling, the contemporary poetic philosophy, the organic combination of poetic space, the vibrant poetic nature, or the manual poetic life. including 15 small gardens surrounding the “Yun Zai Pavilion” in “Xueziqing” square.

THE GARDEN-MAKING ORGANIZATION AND IMPLEMENTATION

花園建造節(jié)組織分為4個階段：第一階段：方案設(shè)計征集與邀請、評選，確定入選名單；

第二階段：入選作品施工圖繪制和可行性對接；

第三階段：現(xiàn)場建造；

第四階段：評獎、建造節(jié)開幕式及展覽。

The garden-making festival has four phrases:

Phase-1: Call for entries. The jury reviews and confirms the winning list.

Phase-2: Construction document preparation and feasibility negotiation.

Phase-3: On-site construction.

Phase-4: Winner announcement; festival opening ceremony and exhibition.

花園建造方案設(shè)計競賽征集

CALL FOR ENTRIES

競賽征集本次北林國際花園建造節(jié)的競賽主題為“花園的詩意”，以原竹和花卉作為主要材料，設(shè)計并建造一座小花園。

花園建造基地位于北京林業(yè)大學(xué)校園內(nèi)，每塊建造基地面積16m²。組委會將先期對建造基地做出統(tǒng)一界定，植物材料均為盆栽，不提供露地栽培植物。

建造內(nèi)容包括一個以原竹為主要材料的景觀構(gòu)筑物，以及與之配套的花園空間。其中，竹構(gòu)占地不超過地塊范圍，余地留作花園，讓花園與竹構(gòu)有機融合，交相輝映，構(gòu)建具有詩意內(nèi)涵的花園空間。

1）竹構(gòu)要求：以原竹（黃竹、紅竹、毛竹）為主要材料，不允許使用其他材料，以低技術(shù)合理方式進行搭建，安全牢固，占地面積不超過地塊范圍邊界，限高4m。應(yīng)可進入，功能不限，形式隨宜。

2）花園要求：建造材料僅限花卉和地被植物，須在組委會提供的材料表中選擇，不宜使用其他材料和設(shè)置水面。

3）請按照以上規(guī)則進行建造，否則將被取消參賽資格。

Call for entries to the garden-making competition

The theme of the 2nd BFU International Garden-making Festival is “The Poetics of Gardens”, asking all participants to build a garden with natural bamboo and herbs.

All 15 garden plots are located within the campus of BFU, each with an area of 16m². The organizing committee will demarcate these sites ahead of time and provide potted plants, but no open-field plants. It is required to design a bamboo pavilion and a garden space. The area of the pavilion should not exceed cite boundry. All relevant technology and safety requirements should be met to construct garden space with poetic connotation.

Requirements for the bamboo pavilion: Please use natural bamboos (Phyllostachy siridescens C.Y.Yaoet S.Y.Chen, 2-7cm diameter; Phyllostachy sedulis, 7-10 cm diameter) as major materials; no other materials are allowed to be used； low-tech construction techniques; no larger than site boundary and no higher than 4m; accessible; no specifications for function and form.

Requirements for the garden: Please only use herbs and ground covers on the material list provided by the organizing committee; no other materials and water features.

Participants will be disqualified against the rules.

參賽人員

本次競賽面向國內(nèi)外風(fēng)景園林及相關(guān)專業(yè)的在校本科生及研究生，須以小組形式報名參加方案征集，小組人數(shù)不得超過8人（含8人）。鼓勵跨專業(yè)合作參賽，每個小組須確定1名指導(dǎo)教師。每組團隊只能提交1份作品，最終建造參賽名單與競賽報名名單一致，不得更改。

PARTICIPANTS

The competition invites submissions from teams of students (who could be undergraduate or graduate students). The team should have no more than 8 members（including 8）. At least one of the team member is enrolled in Landscape Architecture or related programs. We encourage students to team with others who are in different majors. Each team must have one tutor and can only submit one work. The final construction of the entry list is consistent with the entry list of the competition and may not be changed.

WAYS OF PARTICIPATION

本次花園建造節(jié)分方案征集和特別邀請2種參與方式。1）方案征集面向國內(nèi)外風(fēng)景園林及相關(guān)專業(yè)在校學(xué)生，入選名額7個。

2）特別邀請擬特邀8所國內(nèi)外知名高校參與。

There are two ways to participate in the festival competition.

1) Schemes from students in Landscape Architecture and related programs. 7 teams will enter in the next stage.

2) 8 renowned schools and colleges will be invited to participate in the competition.

競賽與建造流程

SCHEDULE FOR THE COMPETITION AND CONSTRUCTION

2019年3月15日前：參賽報名

1）競賽采取兩種報名方式：A.在校學(xué)生自由報名。B.受邀學(xué)校組隊報名；2）關(guān)注“北林園林資訊”“風(fēng)景園林雜志”微信公眾號，或《風(fēng)景園林》雜志官網(wǎng)（www.lalavision.com），點擊競賽通知頁面“閱讀原文”或掃描下方二維碼報名；

3）報名截止日期：2019年3月15日，須確定指導(dǎo)教師及團隊成員名單。報名后將得到一個注冊號，由組委會于2019年3月20日23：59（北京時間）前通過電子郵件告知參賽者。

Before March 15, 2019: Competition registration

1) Two forms: one is the free registration for full-time students (Type-A), the other is the group registration for the institutions invited (Type-B).2) Follow on the WeChat official account "北林園林資訊" (BFU Landscape Architecture Information) and "風(fēng)景園林雜志"(Landscape Architecture Journal) ，click on “閱讀原文” (Read more) on the competition notice page to register. 3) Registration Deadline: Please confirm advisors and team members no later than March 15, 2019. Each team will receive a registration number before 23:59 (Beijing time) March 20, 2019 by email.

2019年4月15日前：設(shè)計方案提交

1）方案格式要求設(shè)計方案排布于一張橫向A0圖版上（高841mm，寬1189mm），JPG格式，分辨率300dpi。圖版中應(yīng)包含設(shè)計圖及設(shè)計說明，文字須為中英雙語（或英語）。圖版中不得出現(xiàn)任何透露作者、指導(dǎo)教師及學(xué)校信息的內(nèi)容。文件命名方式為“注冊號.jpg”，如：045.jpg。

2）方案提交截止日期：2019年4月15日

Before April 15, 2019: Scheme submit

1) Submission requirements:The design project should be presented on an A0 printed panel (841 mm high, 1189 mm wide) in landscape format, saved as JPG with a 300 dpi resolution. The panel should include a reflection of the project and associated graphic representations, both in English and Chinese (or English). No author, advisor and institution information should be mentioned on the panel. The panel must be saved as a JPG and named as "registration number.jpg”, such as "045.jpg".

2019年5月10日前：方案評選

　　競賽組委會組織專家評審團對A、B兩類參賽方案的設(shè)計創(chuàng)意及建造可行性進行評審，為A類參賽團隊中的獲獎方案頒獎，并從其中確定入選花園建造節(jié)的7個實施作品。　　A類參賽作品獎項設(shè)置：

入選獎7名，頒發(fā)獎狀，團隊入選花園建造；

優(yōu)秀獎10~12名，頒發(fā)獎狀。

Before May 10, 2019: Entry Evaluation

The organizing committee will convene a jury to evaluate all competition entries for their design creativity and construction feasibility, giving awards to the Type-A winning entries from which 7 will be selected for construction during the garden-making festival.The awards for Type-A entries:

Winning Prize: 7 entries; winners will proceed to on-site construction.

Excellence Prize: 10-12 entries; winners will receive certificates.

2019年5月20日前：方案細(xì)化與調(diào)整

　　在開始施工圖設(shè)計前，組委會將根據(jù)評委和浙江竹境文化旅游發(fā)展股份有限公司、北京市花木有限公司等合作單位的意見，要求入選團隊進行基于實際建造可行性的方案深化調(diào)整。由合作單位向入選團隊提供技術(shù)指導(dǎo)，直至完成施工圖。

Before May 20, 2019: Design development

According to the suggestions of the jury, the “Bamboo Place” Bamboo Technology Co., Ltd. and the herbs suppliers Beijing Flower and Wood Co., Ltd., the organizing committee will require the winning teams to refine their schematic designs based on construction feasibility prior to the construction document preparation. The suppliers companies will provide technical supports to winning teams until the completion of the construction documents.

2019年6月30日前：施工圖提交

1）入選建造節(jié)的7個公開征集作品和8個受邀高校作品須繪制施工圖，以PDF格式提交組委會。施工圖文件為A3文本，包含平立剖施工圖，設(shè)計及施工說明、設(shè)計尺寸、材料做法、節(jié)點構(gòu)造、細(xì)部大樣、預(yù)制構(gòu)件、施工進度等。2）施工圖提交截止日期：2019年6月30日

Before June 30, 2019: Construction document submission

1) The 7 winning entries and 8 invited universities should complete their construction documents and submit them to the organizing committee in PDF form. Construction documents should be A3 printed documents, including plans, elevations, sections, design and construction descriptions, design sizes, material specifications, construction details, prefabricated units, and schedules.2) Deadline: June 30, 2019

2019年9月下旬或10月中旬：現(xiàn)場建造

1）15支建造團隊于9月下旬或10月中旬參加在北京林業(yè)大學(xué)舉辦的第二屆國際花園建造節(jié)啟動儀式，并開始花園建造工作。建造周期為3.5天。2）建造要求：須滿足相應(yīng)的技術(shù)及安全牢固要求。

Late September 2019 or middle October 2019: On-site construction

1) 15 teams will attend the opening ceremony of the 2nd BFU International Garden-making Festival in later September or middle October 2019 and then begin the garden construction work. The construction will take three and a half days.2) Construction requirements: All relevant technology and safety requirements should be met.

2019年9月下旬或10月中旬：評獎、建造節(jié)開幕式與頒獎

　　建造節(jié)組委會于現(xiàn)場建造結(jié)束后組織國內(nèi)外知名專家進行評獎?；▓@建造節(jié)開幕式上將由特邀嘉賓為獲獎團隊頒發(fā)證書。

Late September or middle October 2019: Prize award, the opening ceremony of the garden festival

The organizing committee will convene renowned experts worldwide to make award decisions. In the opening ceremony of the festival, winner teams will be awarded certificates and prize bonus by special guests.

競賽資料

COMPETITION INFORMATION

　　報名成功后，組委會將向參賽團隊提供基地現(xiàn)狀圖，周邊環(huán)境照片，可選竹材規(guī)格、植物材料表、地基基礎(chǔ)條件等資料。

After successful registration, the organizing committee will provide participation teams with the site condition maps, photos of the surrounding areas, selectable bamboo sizes, list of plant materials, foundation conditions and other relevant information.

參賽規(guī)則

COMPETITION RULES

1）參賽者同意并遵守本競賽通知的內(nèi)容及競賽規(guī)則，違反規(guī)定者將被取消參賽資格；競賽組委會對競賽規(guī)則擁有最終解釋權(quán)。
2）電子圖紙中不得出現(xiàn)任何有關(guān)設(shè)計者姓名和設(shè)計機構(gòu)的文字或圖案，不符合規(guī)定者將被取消參賽資格。
3）競賽組織方擁有參賽作品署名權(quán)以外的其它版權(quán)權(quán)利，包括但不限于發(fā)行權(quán)，展覽權(quán)，信息網(wǎng)絡(luò)傳播權(quán)，出版權(quán)等，設(shè)計方具有署名權(quán)。
4）所有參賽者需確保自己所提交的作品為原創(chuàng)且未參加過其他競賽。
5）參賽者不得接受競賽評委任何建議與指導(dǎo)，違反規(guī)定者將被取消參賽資格。

1) Participants agree on and adhere to the content of this notice as well as the competition rules, otherwise he or she will be disqualified. The competition organizing committee reserves the right of final explanation.

2) Digital drawings should not contain any author and institution names or logos, entries which are not in accordance with the rules will be disqualified。

3) The competition organizing committee reserves all the rights other than authorship, including but not limiting to distribution, exhibition, information network dissemination, publication, etc. The designers reserve the right of authorship.

4) All participants should ensure their submissions are original and have not been submitted to other competitions.

5) Participants cannot receive guidance from the competition jury, otherwise he or she will be disqualified.
